You can check more accurate measurement results by considering
the things that can affect the change in measurement results and setting the following conditions
Precautions when measuring
with a body composition analyzer
Precautions when measuring
Measure at a set time.
Measure before or 3 hours after having a meal.
For periodic measurement, it is always necessary to measure under
the same conditions (same clothes, same time zone, empty stomach, before exercise, etc.)
to accurately identify body changes.Measure at room temperature (20~25℃).
Our body is most stable at room temperature,
and if the temperature is too high or too low,
it may affect the test result.
Outdoor measurement in winter may cause a high body fat percentage.Avoid measurement after sweating a lot.
If measurement is performed after sweating heavily due to climate or environment,
the temporary change in body water may be reflected in the result, and accurate results may not be obtained.
Measure before exercise.Exercising sweat and increasing body temperature can cause temporary changes in body composition.
Measure before bathing.
Saunas and hot baths cause the body to drain water,
and the resulting change in body water affects the results.Avoid measurement after drinking a large amount of beverage.
Bioelectrical impedance analysis does not accurately measure the water in the intestines,
so most of the water you drink may be measured as fat.Measure on an empty stomach before meals.
Bioelectrical impedance analysis does not accurately measure food in the intestines,
so it is recommended to measure it before meals.
If it is unavoidable to measure after a meal, measure 2-3 hours after the meal.Go to the bathroom before measuring.
Measure after going to the bathroom and removing as much waste from your body as possible.
Measure in light clothing.
To improve the accuracy of the results,
measure after setting the weight of clothing in the device's environment settings.Measure after standing up for 5 minutes.
If you suddenly change your posture from a sitting position to a standing position,
water may flow down the lower body and affect the measurement.Maintain the correct measurement posture.
Place the electrodes in the same position on the left and right,
and stand at attention with your arms spread about 45° so that your arms do not touch the armpit during measurement.Do not talk or move while measuring.
The characteristic motion of a body composition analyzer that measures using impedance
may affect the result even with movement.Keep the electrodes clean.
Foreign substances on the electrodes during measurement cause errors in measurement,
so always keep them clean.
